Passing requirements: 50% of maximal overall score. The overall score is a combination of
homework (weight 20%), midterm (weight 30%) and final (weight 50%).

Textbook: I am not following any particular textbook. Instead, I'll use my own notes and post them on this page as we go along. If you want to use a text book on the side, I like Michael Artin's "Algebra". But be aware that the order and notation in this book differs from the ones in my notes.
